yahoo march madness bracket

• UCLA's first game is against SMU, coached by Larry Brown, the 74-year-old turnaround artist who is taking his third team to the NCAA Tournament. The first team? UCLA, of course."I think I have the best team and the best players," said coach John Calipari, trying to lead the Wildcats to their ninth national title. "Does that mean we'll win? No, it doesn't."As is custom, Barnes was short on specifics, though he said Wyoming's surprise victory in the Mountain West Conference stole away an at-large bid that would've gone to Temple.Oh, but there were surprises when the bracket came out, too.• Georgia State coach Ron Hunter watched the bracket unveiling with his left foot in a cast. He tore his Achilles' tendon while celebrating his program's first trip to the tournament since 2001. The 14th-seeded Panthers open against Baylor.
Kentucky ended up where everyone expected them on Selection Sunday: Seeded No. 1 on their quest to become the first undefeated team since 1976.As for those play-in games Tuesday and Wednesday in Dayton. Well, one of the teams playing is Dayton -- a No. 11 seed that will have a distinct home-court advantage against Boise State. Generally, that's not allowed during the tournament, but there's an exception because the committee said the Flyers were the last team in, and thus, had to play in the opening-round game. The other No. 1 seeds were Villanova in the East and Duke in the South. Those were pretty easy picks."It falls within our policies and procedures," selection committee chairman Scott Barnes said. "It's obviously a home-court advantage but we didn't waver from that decision."
The action starts in full on Thursday, when Kentucky headlines the action against the winner of a play-in game between No. 16 seeds Manhattan and Hampton. A '1' has never lost to a '16.'The 68-team bracket includes its usual share of quirks and tear-jerkers:And then there was the total no-brainer -- placing Kentucky at the very top of the bracket. The Wildcats defeated Arkansas 78-63 on Sunday to improve to 34-0. If they win six more, they'll become the first team since then 1975-76 Indiana Hoosiers to go undefeated.Wisconsin is a No. 1 seed for the first time in program history. But the Badgers must play in the West Region, where second-seeded Arizona is certain to draw more fans.Big-conference UCLA and Texas made it. Colorado State and Temple did not.

usually the top teams are the best to pick in the first rounds, try to pick a couple of upsets because there usually seems to be 1 or 2 every year. Also, I will be posting all the contests I use in the forum area, feel free to add to it, it should get quite extensive as I gear up for the tourney. This site has about 5-6 contests listed in the contest section for March Madness. In second round: UNC, Indiana, ND, WSU, Oklahoma, Louisville, South Alabama, and Tennessee in the east. Kansas, Kent State, Clemson, Vanderbilt, USC, Wisoconsin, Davidson, and Georgetown in the Midwest. Memphis, Oregon, MSU, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, Stanford, Miami, and Texas in the South. Finnally, UCLA, Texas A&M, Drake, Connecticut, Baylor, Xavier, Arizona, and Duke in the West.ok so. dont be embarrased but march madness is baseball. its basketball. Anyway, to fill out a bracket there will be a tournament section. each tournament is broken down into 4 little sections. east, south, midwest and west. There will be two teams in every section at the start. each of them have numbers by the team. the lower the number (one being the lowest) the better theyre are. The best teams play the worst teams in the tournament. the team with a one by it plays a team with a 16 by it. there are 16 teams in every tournament section. 2 plays 15 ,3 plays 14, 4 plays13, 5 plays 12, 2 plays 11, 7 plays 10 and 8 plays 9. For every game you have to decide who the winner will be. So for the first game when nmber 1 plays 16, about 99 percent of the people chose number one to win because that is the best team in the league playing the worst team in the league.(or in this case tournament) So you fill out each game who you think will win and you keep going for every round until you eventually choose a winner.
I do at least 30 different contests across the web every year. This year I expect to be doing even more. I will be posting all the sites I will be using, (so probably the best 30-40 imo on the web)I have also written numerous March Madness articles on the site including my latest one on 7 tips for winning a Bracket Contest. I will be around all week on there if anyone needs any help.Well personally, I have the following.Elite Eight is: UNC, Oklahoma, Kansas, Georgetown, Memphis, Texas, Conneticut, and Duke.
I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME FIGURE OUT HOW TO FILL OUT A MARCH MADNESS BRACKET SHEET. AND I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE TEAMS. HELP.I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it but you posted this in the wrong section. Ha I sw that like 5 people mentioned it so I thought I would join in the fun.Good luck this year everyone.Sweet 16 is: UNC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kansas, Clemson, Wisconsin, Georgetown, Memphis, MSU, Kentucky, Texas, UCLA, Conneticut, Xavier, and Duke.
